My name is David and I currently reside in Kinston, NC with my wife Ginny and our two Boston Terriers, Kenan and Finley. I recently was selected as a 2008 NC Principal Fellow and am currently pursuing a Masters in School Administration through East Carolina Univiersity.
Well....it does seem extreme, but honestly if she fell on those beads in just a certain way, she could really get hurt. I suppose a bead could fall out, but I'm really doubting it would. It seems they went too far.
This could be a case of discrimination, who knows. It was never a problem before when she played in other games and the policy/rules does not address beads, specifically jewelry.
Funny things have happened, however, it did not look as though her beads were in jeopardy of coming out.
As the father states it could also have been a case of the referee on a Power trip. To some people that is what it is all about.
I really hate the damage that might have been caused to the girl.
This is a prime example of "buzzkill". I wasn't sure if it was a safety issue or a power trip the ref was on. Kids are strong and hopefully she will use this frustration as motivation.
